Appearance Day of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura (Feb 8th)

"Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Prabhupada (beloved spiritual master of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada) was so glad to reveal the transcendental glories of Lord Krishna that whenever he found an eager listener he would go on speaking, not knowing the bounds of time and space. Disregarding the requests of his medical advisors, up to the last moment be continued to deliver the message of the Supreme Lord to all people. This was the only purpose of his divine appearance in this world. He did not appear here by being forced by the laws of nature as an ordinary living being appears.

Nityananda Trayodasi Festival Feb 1st, 2015

Sri Nityananda Trayodashi is the auspicious appearance day of Nityananda Prabhu. The Supreme Lord Sri Krishna appeared in Navadvipa as Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu to establish the Sankirtana Movement (the yuga dharma for this age of quarrel and hypocrisy). To help the Supreme Lord in His mission, Lord Balarama appeared as Nityananda Prabhu. He assisted Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu by spreading the holy name of the Lord throughout Bengal.

Vaikunta Ekadasi 2014 (Dec 31st, WednesDay)

A major festival of south India, Vaikuntha Ekadashi is observed with all solemnity in the temples of Lord Vishnu. The Vaikuntha Dwara (gate) of all Vishnu temples is opened on this day. Thousands of devotees pass through this gate to get special mercy of Lord.
